  11. Thank you for using the Cumulus(R) Media Management System(TM). 
  12. Cumulus is the indispensable media management system designed to 
  13. organize and manage digital media files.
  14.  
  15. With Cumulus you can organize, track, preview, copy, move, 
  16. annotate and archive virtually any type of digital media. Cumulus 
  17. sets the standard for professional media administration and offers 
  18. multi-level Boolean and similarity searching, drag and drop support, 
  19. automatic thumbnail optimization, and hierarchical categories.
  20.  
  21. Cumulus creates special files called catalogs. As you catalog media 
  22. assets, Cumulus creates special catalog entries called records. To make 
  23. searching and retrieving records easier, Cumulus lets you organize and 
  24. classify records into logical groups called categories.
  25.  
  26. Once cataloged, you can view media assets as thumbnails or as plain text, 
  27. conduct searches using generic or user-defined conditions, and track the 
  28. location of the original digital media file and preview it.

  30. Cumulus Browser offers all the functionality of a regular 
  31. installation except:
  32. - you can only create new catalogs that contain up to 50 records
  33. - you can have only two catalogs open at once
  34.

  47. Cumulus Browser 4.0 for Windows is able to run directly from CD by 
  48. double clicking "CumulusBrowser.exe".
  49.  
  50. If a Cumulus application (Browser, Desktop, Desktop PLUS or Network 
  51. Client) is already installed on the hard drive, this application will 
  52. be started instead. If directly started (for example from CD) Cumulus 
  53. Browser registers all necessary components. After quitting Cumulus 
  54. Browser all temporary registered components will be unregistered.

  57. The following folder structure will be found on the distribution media:

  68. To start Cumulus Browser:
  69. => Double click " CumulusBrowser.exe" located in the bin folder.

  71. To automate the Cumulus Browser it must be registered with the 
  72. command line: CumulusBrowser /REGSERVER. 
  73. Then it provides fully automation features.

  75. To unregister the Cumulus Browser use the command line: 
  76. CumulusBrowser /UNREGSERVER. 
  77. Then all Cumulus Browser registry entries are removed.
